| Description | ||||||||||||
This script is VERY useful for auto-mailing binary files to a user that enters their email address on a website form. A running example of this script is located here. 1. The script auto-forwards an email to the form user that contains a text body and an attachment file. The attachment file can be binary (gif, exe, etc.) if desired. 2. The owner can log the email to a file,
send a confirmation of the request, do both, or neither. |

| Requirements | ||||||||||||
- This is a PERL script, designed on Unix, and does not require server side includes (SSI) - This script requires the PERL module MIME::ENTITY to function. Most servers have access to this module. If you aren't sure, ask your system administrator. If your system doesn't have it, the MIME::TOOLS module, which contains the ENTITY function, can be found at the CPAN site on the master list of modules available for PERL. Your system administrator must install this module for you. - This script also requires Sendmail. This is a standard unix email sender. Ask your system administrator for the location of Sendmail on your server.
NOTICE: If you can't meet the above requirements, Datatrend
Software now remotely hosts this script for a small fee. We customize
everything for you and your customers never know the file came from our server. More information is here. |
