CountDown will track the number of downloads of any file(s) on your website. You only need a link to the script of the following style:
http://www.yoursite.com/countdown.cgi?yourfile.zip
All download files must be located in the same directory, which is set inside of countdown for security reasons. Once the script is triggered, the count is logged, and the user is autoforwarded to the download file. The interface is seamless, the user isn't prompted for anything.
