CountDown v3.0 will track the number of downloads of any file(s) on your website. The script creates several types of log files and can have customized headers and footers to the HTML output pages. You only need a link to the script of the following style:
http://www.yoursite.com/countdown.cgi?yourfile.zip
All download files must be located in the same directory, which is pre-set inside of countdown for security reasons. Once the script is triggered, the count is logged, and the user is autoforwarded to the download file. The interface is seamless, the user isn't prompted for anything.

Real Name output. Instead of the log file showing
10 downloads for "word.exe", it would display 10 downloads for "Microsoft
Word".
A javascript data file is created that can be used
to add a counter on any web page quite easily. Instructions
